Since their start in 2016 the festivals have been well supported by local people, businesses, venues, libraries, Friends of ILF and sponsors. Although it remains essentially self-funding, ILF has also benefited from grants and donations from various sources. All of this has enabled it to build year on year and become ever more successful and firmly established.
Become a Friend of ILF
The FRIENDS OF ILF go the extra mile to make each year’s festival successful. Apart from helping with expertise and advice, they might for example act as stewards, competition judges or Programme Brochure distributors, or they might simply choose to support ILF by attending several festival events each year. The first of these is the formal Launch, aimed at FRIENDS and varying in format, but always with an opportunity to buy festival tickets before they go on general sale.

Local Businesses
Please consider an advert in our widely-distributed programme brochure – around 4500 are circulated each year. The brochure will give your business valuable exposure throughout the Festival and beyond. You could go further by becoming an EVENT SPONSOR which means your business will receive a special mention in the brochure, the local press and at the event itself.
