Victoria Eveleigh lives on Exmoor, where she farms with her husband, Chris. They keep pedigree sheep, cattle and Exmoor ponies.
One particular Exmoor foal inspired Victoria to write her first stories, illustrated by Chris, about a girl called Katy and a pony called Trifle growing up together on an Exmoor hill farm.
She self-published her books for several years before Orion Children’s books asked her to write for them, with Chris as the illustrator.
Victoria will give a talk, with photos, about the places, people and animals that have inspired her books.
“Without doubt, Victoria Eveleigh is the best contemporary writer of pony stories around” (Lovereading4kids.co.uk)
