Terry Waite CBE – In Conversation with Eric Beckley

This Event is sponsored by Broomhead & Saul Solicitors LLP.

During the years Terry Waite spent in solitary confinement as a hostage, he was kept without writing materials of any kind, and only received books after over three years. During that time he wrote his first book “Taken on Trust” entirely in his head and put it on paper following his release. It became an international best seller and has recently been reissued with a new chapter.

He then went on to write several other books ranging from a comic novel, “The Voyage of the Golden Handshake” to “Out of the Silence”, a book of narrative and poetry.

Terry Waite will discuss his time in captivity and also speak about the many and varied activities that have occupied him since his release.
