Olly trained in Northampton College, studying full-time for 4 years. During Olly’s time working under food writer and restaurateur Ruth Watson he learnt the most valuable lesson, the importance of the provenance of food.
Langford Fivehead opened up new possibilities for Olly, being his first position with full autonomy in the kitchen. The property had a small kitchen garden which Olly quickly developed and enhanced with a poly tunnel and fruit cage.
Langford Fivehead can now boast that from April to October 90% of the fruit and veg served is from their own gardens and he will be using their produce in this demonstration.
After nearly 4 years Olly has a score of 6 in the Good Food Guide; two AA rosettes and a pretty complimentary entry in the Michelin guide.
