“Game of Spies” tells the ‘never before told’ story of a lethal spy triangle that formed in Bordeaux in 1942.
Revolving around a ruthless British agent, the German Gestapo counter espionage officer charged with finding him, and a French aristocrat right wing Resistance leader – this thrilling history uncovers the bitter struggle fought out in an atmosphere of collaboration, treachery, and assassination.
These three arch-enemies are drawn into an endgame in which comrades sell out fellow comrades, Allied agents, and downed pilots to the Germans, as casually as they would a bottle of wine. Set in occupied Bordeaux, one of the most beautiful and venerable cities in France, it is a story of SOE, betrayal, bed-hopping and executions – a book full of pace, drama and intrigue to the final page.
