Hilary Bradt MBE & Janice Booth FRGS – “Travellers’ Tales”

Enthusiastic travellers Hilary Bradt MBE, award-winning travel writer and founder of Bradt Travel Guides, and Janice Booth FRGS, long-time writer and editor for Bradt, will describe comic, nerve-wracking or moving events experienced in more than half a century of travel. From their joint hitchhiking adventures in Greece, through Janice’s tales of Timbuktu and Rwanda to Hilary’s experiences as a tour guide in Madagascar and her arrest in 1970s Ethiopia for discussing politics, they present little-known aspects of some unusual destinations including (most recently) North Korea.
Various relevant Bradt books, such as “To Oldly Go”, “Bus Pass Britain” and “The Irresponsible Traveller”, will be for sale, as will the brand-new “Reluctant Solo Traveller”.
