An Evening with Julian Stockwin: Action & Adventure in Historical Novels

Julian Stockwin was sent at the age of fourteen to TS Indefatigable, a tough sea-training school. He joined the Royal Navy at fifteen before transferring to the Royal Australian Navy where he served in the Far East, Antarctic waters and the South Seas.

He was awarded the MBE, retiring with the rank of lieutenant commander. Julian has written 20 acclaimed action-adventure historical novels: The Thomas Kydd series, “The Silk Tree” and “The Powder of Death”. He has also penned a non-fiction tome “Stockwin’s Maritime Miscellany”.
